JDG finds the net with Ashington website

Ashington AFC have become the latest club to join the JDG Media stable, signing up for our sports club management system, with a new website launched for the new season.

A former Football League club, Ashington now play in the Northern League, the ninth tier of the English football league system.

Having already worked in ice hockey, rugby league and cricket in the north east, JDG were approached by Ashington earlier in the summer to modernise their official website, using our easy-to-use and flexible sports club management system, which enables any official at the club to easily update their website.

Club official Brian Shotton said: “Our website has been in operation since 2003 and our current version since 2006, I felt it was time we brought a professional and modern image to the clubs online prescence to include the various elements of social media and interavtive features available to the internet’

“As a sports fan I have used various other websites built by JDG Media and have always been impressed with the pages they have produced. I contacted James and he was able to offer us a solution for a reasonable price. The website is easy to update wth a simple admin panel so now we can concentrate on the content rather than worry about design and maintainence.”

The website launched in the first week of the season, and is viewable via www.ashingtonafc.com.

JDG chief James Gordon said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Brian and Ashington, and we look forward to monitoring their progress throughout the season, as well as helping develop the website further as they move forward as a club.

“We’ve got some really good ties in the north east, and it’s great for us that we have been able to add football to the growing list of clients we’ve got based there.”

JDG have previously launched sites for Gateshead Thunder rugby league, Newcastle Vipers and Northern Stars ice hockey, and the North East Premier Cricket League.
