The LoveRugbyLeague.com Stadium

Our leading brand, Love Rugby League, has bought the naming rights to Mount Pleasant, home of Batley Bulldogs rugby league club.

The sponsorship deal was announced ahead of the Bulldogs’ televised Championship clash with Swinton Lions on Thursday night.

The following release appeared in the match day programme…

Good evening and welcome to the LoveRugbyLeague.com stadium!

At LoveRugbyLeague.com we are delighted to announce this landmark partnership between ourselves and Batley Bulldogs that sees the famous Mount Pleasant ground renamed for the first time in its glorious history.

LoveRugbyLeague.com is the ultimate Rugby League website, with all the latest news, views, stats, live scores, competitions and much more, providing fans with their ideal home on the internet. We pride ourselves on actively supporting various Rugby League clubs from grass roots teams all the way up to Championship level, and our partnership with Batley Bulldogs is our most significant one to date.

Mount Pleasant is undoubtedly one of the most iconic grounds in the game, with its famous slope hosting Rugby matches since 1880. In this modern era of franchised Rugby League and such intense scrutinisation of the facilities that play host to our wonderful sport, and while some clubs have moved into fantastic new homes, there are also many that fail to materialise beyond the architects pen. Batley however have gone quietly about their way over the last decade, improving their home bit by bit in a sensible and – most importantly – sustainable manner. The result of this hard work over the last few years is something for the Bulldogs to be incredibly proud of, as they have struck a perfect balance of providing comfort and safety for their fans and corporate partners, while at the same time retaining a strong sense of heritage in what is now one of the best grounds outside SuperLeague.

Batley Bulldogs and LoveRugbyLeague.com share many of the same values, most importantly a strong sense of community and integration with our fans and followers, as without them neither of us would exist. It only made perfect sense to join forces in this historic partnership for everybody concerned. We certainly hope that this is just the beginning of a long and prosperous partnership.

We are very much looking forward to a fantastic game at the LoveRugbyLeague.com stadium in front of the Premier Sports TV cameras against Swinton tonight, and we wish Batley the best of luck for tonight and the remainder of the 2012 season.
